'Students face problems pertaining to education' [Allahabad]

ALLAHABAD: With the aim of providing guidance and counselling to its students, the authorities of Iswar Sharan Degree College opened a counselling centre in their college premises. The centre would provide psychological support to the students in dealing with their routine problems.

The centre was inaugurated by the principal of the college, Dr Anand Shankar Singh. Dr Singh said, "the society is being changed into educational machine wherein humans are more involved in their vested interest." Highlighting the working of the centre, coordinator, Dr Abha Mishra said most of the students are facing problems pertaining to education, business, and other personal issues. The counselling centre would cater to such needs.

The head of the department, Radhey Shyam Tiwari stressed on expanding the purview of this centre. He said it was at this department that the first online counselling facility was made available for the students. The centre has also come a long way in providing help to all the students, be it of the college or other institutions.

Remarkably, apart from the counselling centre, the college also added various other facilities for the students which includes language efficiency, personality development and computer education. For Reprint Rights: timescontent.com
